1. Acceptance of terms
- By creating an account or using Stamporo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
- If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.
- We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be communicated by email.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Stamporo.
- You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
- One person may only hold one account. Creating duplicate accounts is prohibited.
- Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
3. AI price estimates — important disclaimer
⚠ Important: All price estimates on Stamporo are generated by artificial intelligence (AI) and are indicative only. They do not constitute professional valuations, financial advice or guarantees of market value.
- AI estimates are based on general knowledge, historical data and web searches. They may be inaccurate, outdated or not reflect the current market.
- Always conduct your own research (due diligence) before buying or selling stamps. Consult a professional philatelic appraiser for significant transactions.
- Stamporo accepts no liability for any financial loss, dispute or damage arising from transactions carried out based on AI price estimates shown on this platform.
- Catalogue prices (Stanley Gibbons, Michel, AFA, Scott) differ significantly from actual market trading prices. Our estimates aim to reflect realistic trading prices, not catalogue values, but cannot be guaranteed.
- Price estimates may vary widely depending on condition, provenance, buyer interest and market conditions at the time of sale.
4. Marketplace and transactions
- Stamporo provides a platform for users to list, buy, sell and trade stamps. We are not a party to any transaction between users.
- All transactions are conducted directly between users. Stamporo does not handle payments, take commission or guarantee the completion of any transaction.
- Users are solely responsible for verifying the authenticity, condition and description of stamps before transacting.
- Stamporo is not responsible for disputes between users. We encourage users to resolve disputes amicably and to use the messaging system for communication.
- Listings must be accurate and honest. Misrepresenting stamps (false condition, wrong country/year, altered images) is prohibited and may result in account suspension.
- Stamps marked for trade or sale are publicly accessible via a direct URL (stamporo.com/stamp/?id=[id]) and may be indexed by search engines. By listing a stamp for trade, you consent to this public visibility.
5. User conduct
- You agree not to use Stamporo to: upload illegal content, harass or abuse other users, attempt to defraud other users, violate intellectual property rights, or circumvent security measures.
- You are responsible for all activity on your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
6. Content and intellectual property
- You retain ownership of images and content you upload. By uploading, you grant Stamporo a licence to display and process your content for the purpose of operating the platform.
- You confirm that you have the right to upload any content you submit and that it does not infringe third-party rights.
- Stamporo's name, logo, design and software are the intellectual property of Stamporo and may not be copied or used without permission.
7. AI analysis and data
- When you upload stamp images for analysis, they are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- Stamporo sends transactional email notifications (account verification, password reset, new messages, new bids). These are sent in your preferred language. You can manage preferences from your profile.
- AI-generated identifications (country, year, catalogue number) are best-effort estimates. Always verify important details independently.
- Price history data from accepted trades on Stamporo may be used anonymously to improve AI estimates for all users.
8. Limitation of liability
- Stamporo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stamporo and its operator shall not be liable for: loss of profits or revenue, financial losses from transactions, data loss, indirect or consequential damages.
- Stamporo's total liability to you shall not exceed the equivalent of EUR 0 (the platform is provided free of charge).
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
9. Platform availability
- We aim to keep Stamporo available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, updates or technical issues may cause temporary downtime.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the platform at any time.
- We are not liable for any loss caused by downtime or unavailability of the service.
10. Account termination
- You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. All your personal data — including stamps, images, bids, messages and notifications — will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity or inactivity exceeding 24 months.
- Upon termination, your listings will be removed from the marketplace.
11. Governing law
- These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark.
- Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Danish courts.
- If you are an EU consumer, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence.
